Keeping:  Is the ability to stop and save shots. The main skill used by keepers.  
Shooting:  Is the ability to shoot at goal. A main skill for strikers and a useful skill for some types of midfielders.  
Long Passes:  Is the ability to give a long pass. Useful skill for goalkeepers and defenders and might be for some midfielders. (Defensive midfielders)  
Short Passes:  Is the ability to deliver an accurate short pass. A useful skill for midfielders and strikers.  
Tackling:  Is the ability to dis-possess a player with the ball by trying to take it away from them with your feet. Main skill for defenders and useful for some types of midfielders. (Defensive midfielders)  
Marking:  Is the ability to stay with the opponent you are defending (like a man to man defence). Important skill for defenders and some types of midfielders. (Defensive midfielders) This may be the ability to track the ball since it is one of the skills included in the goalkeeper?s equip. (Just a guess)  
Heading: Is the ability to hit and direct the ball with your head. For defensive and attacking purposes.  
Crossing:  Is the ability to dribble the ball. Useful for midfielders and strikers.  
Strength: How strong the player is. May be useful for all types of players, mostly defenders though. (May also determine the power that the ball is delivered with when kicked, whether passing or shooting)  
Ball control: Is the ability to control the ball, a technique. Important for all players, including goalkeepers.  
Speed:  How fast a player is able to run. Is important for all players.  
Stamina:  How much endurance a player has, how long he will be able to stay on the field. Very important for all players.  
Acceleration:  How quickly a player can reach his top speed. Useful skill for all positions.  
Center Play:  Is the ability to play in the center of the field whether it is in the defence, the midfield or the attack.  
Flanking:  Is the ability to play on the wings whether it is in the defence, the midfield or the attack.  
Composure:  How calm and confident a player will be. Important for strikers, goalkeepers and some types of midfielders. (Attacking Midfielders)
